The Convention begins on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at 12:00 PM and ends on Monday, July 4th, 2022 at 12:00 PM.

Unsubsidized Pricing

To provide each attendee with hotel accomodations, meals, the opportunity to attend sessions and social events, and souvenirs, the actual total cost per person is $439 for 14-17/18-21 students and $479 for 22+ attendees. The YJA Convention Committee works very hard in fundraising during the year to help subsidize each attendee's cost of attendance. We would greatly appreciate it if you could help YJA by choosing the "Unsubsidized" pricing option at the time of payment. This would help us raise the money we need to ensure YJA events remain as affordable for as many potential attendees as possible.

Pull-Out Couch

To accommodate more attendees and to provide a more affordable registration option, we are offering all attendees the option to select a queen-sized pull-out couch sleeping accommodation ($50 discount) for the Convention (while spaces last). Note, you will not be able to select a preferred roommate if you select the pull-out couch option. If you are an attendee between the ages of 22-29, you may be sharing a room with a maximum of 2 attendees. If you are an attendee between the ages of 14-21, you may be sharing a room with a maximum of 4 attendees.

Financial Assistance

We acknowledge that attending Convention is a costly endeavor, and we want to ensure that all members have the opportunity to attend our events regardless of socioeconomic background or current circumstance. If, for any reason, you are hesitant to register for Convention due to financial reasons, please consider requesting Financial Assistance through the registration portal. Every year, we are proud to support several youths from all backgrounds in accessing the Convention experience. Financial Assistance requests will be kept fully confidential and anonymous — only Co-Chairs will have access to them. Financial assistance will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis until our allocation of funds is exhausted.

COVID-19

The health and safety of all attendees at Convention remains our top priority, especially in light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19. YJA will continue to closely monitor public health data and regularly consult with health experts to adapt our approach to the convention as needed. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration while registration in your age group (high school, college, 22+) is still open and it is on or before May 22, 2022, you will receive a full refund of all collected fee amount.

If registration in your age group has closed and you wish to cancel your registration on or before May 22, 2022, you will receive a 50% refund of all collected fee amount. Absolutely no refunds will be issued for cancellations on or after May 23, 2022 unless specified for COVID-19 reasons.

If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result within 10 days of Convention, email vaccination@yja.org immediately. If you show proof of a positive test on or after June 21, 2022, your registration will be canceled and you may receive a partial refund.

YJA reserves the right to change or cancel Convention plans (programs, activities, sessions, etc.), including for the safety of participants during the COVID-19 pandemic. No refund requests will be entertained due to any such changes or cancellations. YJA is not responsible for any charges associated with these changes or cancellations (travel, accommodations, etc.).
